Founders’ Story

Janne Kollberg and Patric Petersen have been close friends since the age of seven, growing up together as hockey teammates in Sundsvall, Sweden 🇸🇪. Their shared spirit of adventure took them backpacking across Asia and the Caribbean in their younger years.

Returning to Sweden, both Janne and Patric went on to build successful businesses in different industries, following their individual passions.

Fast forward 40 years — the two reunited in Brazil 🇧🇷 to celebrate Patric’s birthday party. It was during that trip that inspiration struck. Drawing from their combined experience, they came up with the idea for an innovative new product: an oil skimmer designed specifically for pools.

That product became POOLCLEAR — a simple yet effective solution to a common issue faced by pool owners around the world.

With POOLCLEAR, Janne and Patric hope to not only write a new chapter in their entrepreneurial journey but also deliver real value to customers globally.
